Yes Tokyo is complex-ly exciting.
Spent last night checking out the Universities in Tokyo, and gosh there are at least 25 universities and maybe 50 campuses.
There is even an university town in Tokyo - Hachioji, a region of hills with at least 20 universities, 40min ride from Shinjuku Station.
